About: Spring Break in Bend, Oregon

The Thursday at the end of Spring Break - mom and dad had rented a house for all of us "Knights" to say at for a long weekend in Bend, Oregon. We were looking forward to just getting out of town and the weather actually looked sunnier there than in Idaho.
You have to find and taste test the best donuts in any town.
There was a tennis/basketball/pickle ball court, a putting green, and a hot tub - plus the giant house and beautiful woodsy grounds - what more could a kid ask for?
We went to the High Desert Museum and explored.
I made kids take pictures...
Some kids took their own pictures...
I took pictures of my coffee...
But the best thing we did was go for a hike at Smith Rock State Park.
The week before I had happened to see it mentioned on a map or something, and then the next day it popped up on Sunset Magazine's instagram feed. It was an absolutely gorgeous day! When you were down in the canyon, if you were in the sun you were hot (we even got little sunburns), but when you were in the shadow you were freezing.
Just look at the cliffs - they are so beautiful, it feels a bit like a miniature Grand Canyon, so I took way too many pictures that mostly all look the same... but I'll leave them here anyway...

Our last morning was spend cleaning the house - including the fridge... which meant ice cream cones for breakfast!
Except for Liam, I don't know... is he too cool for them?

And we stopped at a real breakfast on the way out of town, which turned out to be one of the best decisions we made - it was beautiful there, sunny, although cool, and so delicious - literally the best eggs benedict I've ever had.

Then coffee, then the road again. It was so refreshing and chill - even if I was feeling really sick the whole time - we relaxed, played, and had a great time together as a family.
