Weekly: December 25-31, Christmas to New Year's Eve!

Merry Christmas!
The kids were wide awake and ready to see what Santa had left in their stockings! We made them wait until 8:30 or so, but it wasn't too bad since they just went upstairs and played together for a little while. The rest of the family made it over and we opened stockings and then had some breakfast before presents.

She got new outfits for both American girl dolls and the promptly became part of our Christmas Day gathering.

This next progression of pictures is just great...

We finished about 4, got dressed, and cleaned up a little to go to Christmas dinner at Mom's house, with time for some games with Tessa.
It was pretty much a perfect day - even if it didn't snow. It was fun and relaxed and everyone had good moods, kids napped when they were supposed to, and many hugs were given.
The next day was the last day GG & Tessa would be here so we tried to be at the house as much as possible.
Jen and Grant brought gingerbread house kits for all the kids.

yuck - she actually ate it

Then we did get a family picture...
ate pizza and hung out...
and just kept acting like it was still Christmas.
The morning they left it snowed again - it was so pretty and thankfully it wasn't enough to cause them traveling trouble. It was only a little but it lasted a few hours at least - enough to make driving around town a beautiful experience.
The rest of the week was spent in a mixture of sleeping, laziness, books & tv, pajamas, with a little "I better put clothes on and do something."

On New Year's Eve all the family came over a very chill NYE party - lots of delicious junk food, some TV, and some games. Liam and Carolina stayed up like champs - although they had plenty of prep for it with lots of late nights the previous week.
We rang in the new year, cleaned the kitchen, and went to bed way too late. It seems so weird to say it's 2019 - we're living in the future!

And the December video...
