Weeklyish: November 18-30

The second half of November just flew by! We had a couple of quiet days at home and then the California cousins arrived!
We went to the Caldwell lights and the new ice rink - Liam and Carolina had their first crack at ice skating... Liam was excited, Carolina was not. Carolina did well, Liam did not. It was just a funny turn of events. Liam still had fun... I think.

Denali really stuck with Carolina and helped her get the hang of it.

Liam didn't have quite as much help, but when he did, it looked like this...

The lights were just like we remembered, colorful and beautiful - but also very cold.

And then it was Thanksgiving day and I did an extremely poor job of taking pictures. I got one of the twinners...

And one of the girls attacking Liam with some post-dinner energy... There was lots of time to play and relax.. and a little time to get some decorating done

But not to get a tree... we still don't have one yet!

Other things of note were that Dad put up 3 new lights in our living area - with a little help :) We just got the last one in, and then it will be done! Well as done as the kitchen is going to get for the time being - besides a couple of simple, minor projects - but I really do love it.
Carolina's dance class was invited to dance at the Canyon County Festival of Trees, she was adorable of course but definitely not entirely ready to perform - ha!
I read 3 books - yay!
Then it was back to school, and boy that was a rough week - it felt like it should feel like Christmas but it didn't. Very confusing, and kids were wild - I realize it will probably only get worse until we are done, but I have to crack down because I can't live like that for the next 3 weeks.
And then last weekend was the Living Christmas Tree which both kids sang in and I took NOT A SINGLE PICTURE OF. Something is the matter with me. Besides having to get kids to performance 5 nights in a row and twice on Saturday, we really just did a lot of staying home. Another round of colds hit us, plus it got really cold outside - and it was nice to not have too much to do besides go to work.
