Weekly: May 7-13
Last week was FULL - so many appointments and important happenings! Our I.R.I. state test was last week - both kids got 3s (that's the best score) and my class took it as well, which means now they are pretty sure we don't have to work anymore (to be honest, I don't want to make them). The next two weeks are going to be rough with cramming in last minute lessons and then report card testing when we all want to be on vacation - but I'm going to try to just enjoy being with the kiddos before they leave me.
Liam prays "Thank you for another day with our dog," every night - he's been asking for a picture of he and Ripley together just in case something happens to her. Her breathing is still bad but the growth in her face doesn't seem to be getting any bigger (you can kind of tell the right side of her face is swollen under her eye). She's deaf and getting a little grouchy, but she's a sweet old girl.
We had to make Carolina a dentist appointment because she is getting two big teeth in on the bottom, behind her little ones - one is very close to coming out (her first tooth she will lose!) but the other isn't, and really those two new teeth look like they will take the place of 3 baby teeth and one is already crooked. The dentist thinks she will have to have 3-4 of them pulled to make room for the new ones and then a palate expander once her six-year molars come in. She takes after her Aunt Jen. We are meeting with an orthodontist first in a few weeks to get a second opinion essentially. Of course our health share doesn't cover dental, ugh so that should be fun :(
Last week was teacher appreciation week and our class field trip - what better way to make a teacher feel appreciated than getting her a coffee for the long bus ride with 60 screaming kids!
It was a nice relaxing weekend - Jen and I got pedicures and on Sunday I got to go shopping at Target, get coffee, then take out lunch after church with the family. Later we went for a family walk and went to get ice cream per my request and just hung out together and watched our new favorite show. It was very chill and just right.
(p.s. only 3 more weeks of school!)
