Weekly: March 5-11

What a week! They just don't slow down do they?
We started with Sunday night and our 2nd annual Oscars Party - lots of fun with friends and food! The kids had a blast with other kids even if the two other boys were 2 and 3 - Liam still had Nerf guns in their hands and Storm Trooper masks on their face!
The next day he had an upset stomach - this kid and his stomach. He says he threw up a little bit at school so Todd picked him up and he seemed to be fine later in the afternoon and then when it was bedtime again this is what he did... yeh, he's asleep.
At first I was like "great we just had a bunch of company and now he's sick".. but I had a feeling he wasn't truly sick with a bug and I was right. He was not happy with me about going to school the next day because of course he was exhausted and his stomach still hurt - but he hadn't puked at all and didn't feel feverish or have any other symptoms - PLUS it was picture day and his GT class, so I really wanted him to try to make it. And he did. He was fine once he got to school and got going.
Our Thursday family fun night was spent getting Chick-fil-a and pet fish shopping. Liam has been asking for a fish forever and we finally decided to let him get one... he picked out 2 fish and 2 shrimp and all the accessories, we brought it home. read the directions, and apparently there is a lot more involved in getting the tank/water ready for fish than we were prepared for. It all went back to the store the next day. :( Liam wasn't too heart broken though. We intended to do more research and figure it all out then go back and get what we needed... but Liam hasn't brought it up again, so maybe I'll just wait on him.
The weekend was sooooo nice! We ran errands on Saturday and got some good deals on spring clothes, then Sunday we went out to lunch with all of the grandparents and it was so nice we had to walk over and get ice cream. Maybe 60 degrees isn't that warm and springy to you - but here it sure is! I had kids come to school in shorts yesterday! The weather isn't supposed to stay that nice though - boo.
Daylight Saving was hard, our church "boycotts" it and we start at at 11:30 instead of 10:30 on Sunday morning - which is awesome, but it doesn't help you ease into Monday for sure. We are all exhausted. I was doing well with not drinking coffee in the morning, but now I'm drinking doubles!
Nothing is happening on the house. I can't decide on flooring and I can't nail down the painter and landscaper. So we are at a temporary (hopefully) standstill.
Liam finished his basketball season with a great final game (will post video at the end of March). I think soccer starts up after spring break.
Just under 2 weeks until spring break - woo! So ready for that! And then it's just the final push until summer break - crazy how fast this year is going!
