Trip tid-bits...
I thought of some things about our trip after I had already blogged so here are some interesting items of note (at least to me):
1. We managed not to get sunburned for 7 days (sometimes without sunscreen even), but on the 8th day, with sunscreen, we did...
2. The MTV Movie Awards were being held at Universal Studios the day we were there (apparently we just missed seeing Ben Stiller)...
3. We (as a collective whole) saw 3 celebrities: Eric McCormack (Will from Will and Grace - mom spotted him, at Universal), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin from Superbad - I spotted him, Todd named him, at Disney), and some dude from Friday Night Lights (Jen saw at LAX); kind of neat...
4. Liam tried a Dole Whip, Mint Julep (non-alcoholic of course), and Cotton Candy (his favorite)...
5. Jessica ate 4 Cotton Candies :)
6. The Grand Californian Hotel is so so so so so awesome, our room had a forest theme with Snow White pictures and a Bambi shower curtain!
7. Liam's favorite things were the Buzz Lightyear ride, seeing the penguins and manatees, and watching the Cirque de la Mer show
8. Disneyland and LAX have awesome new hand dryers in the bathrooms called Airblades, they were practically their own attraction...
9. It was quite obvious that Disneyland is totally the best theme park out there: the employees are way friendlier and more helpful, the grounds are much cleaner and prettier, the food is better, in general a nicer place to visit...
10. You may look like a doofus when you get on a ride wearing a poncho, but you won't look like one when you get off it!
